Ribble has launched the Gravel 725, its first steel gravel bike which features long, slack and low geometry.

The Gravel model is also available in aluminium, titanium and carbon too, along with an electric gravel bike version built with Mahle's rear hub drive.

Ribble already offers the CGR 725, which is pitched as an all-road bike rather than a dedicated gravel bike. This sits alongside the CGR titanium, CGR Aluminium, and CGR Carbon.

The frame is built from triple-butted Reynolds 725 steel tubing and follows Ribble's progressive long and low geometry as found on the existing gravel range.

With a long front centre, wide bar and short stem, the 725 aims to make more technical terrain easier to tackle.

The frame is paired with a full carbon fork and has plenty of mounts that should make it a good choice for bike packing.

With rear rack mounts, triple boss cage mounts on the fork (which Ribble dub ‘Carryall’ mounts), mudguard mounts and top tube bento box mounts, you will be able to attach just about anything to the bike.

The bike also features full internal cable routing, which can make mounting bikepacking bags and other accessories easier.

Tyre clearances stand at 45mm for 700c wheels, rising to 47mm when running 650b gravel wheels. A mechanic-friendly threaded BSA bottom bracket rounds out the details.

All three models come equipped with Mavic AllRoad 650b wheels and Halo GXC 47mm gravel tyres as standard.

The Gravel 725 Sport base model has a SRAM Apex groupset and costs £2,099. The Enthusiast model comes with SRAM Rival at £2,399, and the range tops out with the Rival AXS XPLR-equipped Pro model. The three bikes all feature 1x drivetrains.

You can customise your build with Ribble's online bike builder.
